Senior Consultant

The Organisation

InContext Consultancy Group has been named TOP Consultancy Firm 2025 and works with leaders who want to harness culture, behaviour and leadership to build organisations that deliver results. Our motto is not a marketing slogan: Strategy to value, Make It Happen describes exactly what we do every day.

We help complex organisations bring their strategy to value by developing business-critical behaviour — measurably, and across the entire organisation. We do this along four lines: strategic clarity, strategic dialogue, systemic alignment and value capture. Our consultants connect business objectives to concrete, visible behaviour and make collaboration meaningful through innovative tools, serious games and learning programmes that fit the organisation’s culture and core values.

InContext does not deliver reports or stand-alone recommendations. We work together with ambitious organisations to achieve tangible, valuable results. We do this in an unorthodox, creative and passionate way. Our atmosphere is informal, non-hierarchical and ambitious. We are honest about who we are: a place you want to belong to if you are ambitious in every sense.

Our client portfolio consists of renowned Dutch and international organisations such as ASML, KLM, TU Delft, Rabobank, Damen, Fokker and Fugro. Growth companies and market leaders active in high-tech, industry, aviation, healthcare and financial services.

The Role
As a Senior Consultant at InContext, you take responsibility for the entire chain: from the first client conversations to measurable results on the shop floor. You work on complex challenges for demanding, technically advanced clients and help them bring their strategy to genuine value by making business-critical behaviour visible throughout the organisation.

You design and guide impactful programmes, business simulations and interventions that inspire individuals, teams and organisations to grow. Business development and account management are not a side activity: they are at the heart of your role as a trusted adviser. You build lasting client relationships at board and senior management level, spot new opportunities and convert them. You help shape the growth of InContext.

Within your projects you lead junior consultants, freelancers and actors, and work closely with colleagues from different clusters. The role requires the ability to move effortlessly between the roles of project manager, facilitator, trainer and adviser:

  • Translating strategic issues into the design and delivery of programmes, simulations and interventions.
  • Building and maintaining senior client relationships with boards and leadership teams of complex organisations.
  • Identifying and actively developing new commercial opportunities, including writing and presenting proposals.
  • Leading project teams (junior consultants, freelancers, actors) and safeguarding quality and progress.
  • Contributing to the further development of the InContext proposition: new methodologies, tools and thought leadership.

Your Profile
You pair strategic advice with a drive to make it happen. You are equally at home in the boardroom and in front of a group of thirty people whom you take through a change journey. You have an affinity with technically complex environments and know how to get people moving in that context.

  • A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in consultancy, organisational development, change management or learning & development.
  • A demonstrable track record in building client relationships and converting commercial opportunities at board and senior management level.
  • Strong facilitation skills: experienced and passionate about leading workshops, training sessions and group processes.
  • An affinity with, or experience in, designing serious games, business simulations or experiential learning.
  • At home in — or strongly drawn to — complex environments (high-tech, industry, aviation, life sciences).
  • Analytical and academic level of thinking; a credible sparring partner for boards and leadership teams.
  • A university degree (e.g. business administration, economics, psychology, sociology) or demonstrably equivalent level.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Willing to travel for multi-day programmes, including internationally.

What InContext Offers You
You join a growing firm that takes its ambitions seriously. You work with the best people in the most challenging organisations in the Netherlands and far beyond.

  • A role with real responsibility — you are the trusted adviser.
  • Direct access to the boards and senior management teams of top clients such as ASML, KLM, TU Delft and Damen.
  • An environment that believes in serious gaming and business simulations as powerful instruments of change — innovative and proven effective.
  • Room for thought leadership, publications and further developing your own craft.
  • An informal, non-hierarchical culture in which everyone’s strengths are put to use and ambition is valued.
  • Recognised as TOP Consultancy Firm 2025 — a firm that lives up to its reputation.
  • Terms and conditions that match your experience and performance.
