Mammoet

Mammoet

Aligning 1,400 Employees Across Three Countries to Improve Customer Satisfaction.

Our approach

Mammoet is a globally leading company when it comes to heavy lifting, construction, and transportation services. Adapting to an entirely new company-wide strategy can pose a significant challenge to organisations of this size. Familiarising around 1400 people with a new approach is one part of it, but effectively internalising it among the employees is where the real challenge lies.

We believe in experiential learning, and so we gave Mammoet’s employees a boost through a tailor-made business simulation. The simulation revolves around two organisations collaborating on the Mega Arctic Development (MAD) project. Both organisations contribute to the development of an island in the Antarctic Ocean, with their clients requesting the construction of infrastructure and a settlement.

Our approach

Results

After this large-scale rollout, more than 1400 employees were introduced to the new strategy and why it was necessary. Through the simulation, employees learned how to act in line with the strategy during the preparation and execution of their work. They learned to effectively address each other’s behaviour and collaborate constructively. And last but not least, employees felt responsible for proactively contributing to Mammoet’s success!

“Experiencing a strategy has so much more impact than just reading about it.”
Sander Splinter – Managing Director Mammoet Europe
