Driestar-Wartburg

Driestar-Wartburg

Driestar-Wartburg, a secondary education group with a Reformed Christian foundation, was formed after the merger of eight different locations.

The merger brought challenges due to the varied cultures and identities of the involved organisations. With the new total of 800 teachers, Driestar-Wartburg became a significant organisation. However, post-merger, opportunities for personal interaction between the support service teams were limited, making collaboration difficult and leading to the formation of silos. Additionally, there was a need for support in evaluating the merger and improving collaboration.

Serious Games as Bridge Builders

Driestar-Wartburg engaged InContext to foster connections and break down the silos within the organisation. To achieve this, we utilised various serious games. These games created a safe environment where teams could collaborate, communicate, and discover each other’s strengths. Through multiple sessions in different group configurations, we strengthened the internal bonds and helped teams get to know each other better. We also supported the directors in evaluating the merger and their collaboration, gathering insights and making recommendations for further improvements.
