Roundtable Event: Leading in Complex Organisations

Roundtable Event: Leading in Complex Organisations

Organisations are becoming increasingly complex. Strategies may be clear on paper, but translating them into real behaviour, culture, and measurable results requires strong, practical leadership. On 15 April, we are excited to host an exclusive roundtable for HR leaders, featuring Professor Erik Scherder as keynote speaker, alongside Thomas Benedict, Jade van Battum, and Professor Arnoud Franken. Register now by sending us an email before 10 April to secure your spot!

15 April 2026 | 15:00

Through short presentations and interactive roundtables, participants will explore leadership from four complementary perspectives, combining strategy, hands-on experience, scientific insight, and neuropsychology. This is a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, share practical cases, and gain actionable insights for your own organisation.

Four Perspectives on Leadership in Complexity

Neuropsychology & Leadership – Keynote by Professor Erik Scherder

Erik Scherder is the Netherlands’ most renowned neuroscientist and a highly sought-after speaker on how the brain works. As a professor of neuropsychology and author of multiple bestsellers, he will share how leaders can understand and apply insights from neuropsychology to effectively manage complexity, change, and performance.

Strategy to Value – Thomas Benedict

How to bring strategy to life, translating organisational goals into meaningful behaviour and measurable results.

Female Leadership – Jade van Battum

Practical insights from programmes delivered at Deloitte and PwC. Learn how inclusive leadership works in practice and the impact it has on teams and culture.

Connect, Then Lead – Professor Arnoud Franken

Based on Amy Cuddy’s Harvard Business Review work, this session explains how connection precedes influence and how this principle is applied in leadership programmes at Erasmus MC and NewTone

Four Perspectives on Leadership in Complexity

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for HR leaders who are managing increasing organisational complexity and are responsible for leadership development and cultural change initiatives. Participants will benefit if they are looking to translate strategy into practical, measurable results and are eager to exchange experiences and insights with peers. The session is intentionally limited in size to allow for meaningful and interactive discussions.

What to Expect

This interactive session begins with short, high-impact presentations from Thomas Benedict on translating strategy into meaningful behaviour, Jade van Battum on female leadership with practical insights from Deloitte and PwC programmes, and Professor Arnoud Franken on “Connect, Then Lead” and evidence-based leadership approaches.

Afterwards, participants will join the first roundtable discussion to share practical cases, challenges, and ideas with fellow leaders. This is followed by dinner, and then Professor Erik Scherder, our keynote speaker, will present his neuropsychology insights on how the brain responds to complexity, pressure, and change. The event concludes with a second roundtable and networking drinks, giving attendees additional opportunities to exchange knowledge and reflect. Participants will leave with actionable insights and inspiration they can directly apply in their organisations.
